I recently had the pleasure of working on the newly re-launched OZ EDM website.
An online music magazine dedicated to electronic music, OZ EDM is now in its third incarnation with a steady increase of daily readers.
The new design features simple material design elements and an uituitive layout that focuses on the key areas of the site: News, Music, Features, Reviews and Interviews.
With OZ EDM growing into a multi-author website, contributors now have access to their set key areas in the WordPress dashboard. Custom function extend the user role restrictions and collaborators can now access set areas they have been granted access to.
Developed on the Bootstrap 4.x framework, the custom theme features multiple post layout templates which can be chosen at the post creation screen. This option was setup with custom fields and chosen over a page builder to improve site speed and reduce coding bloat. Theme spaces for advertising have been created and can by enabled/disabled at the switch of a button.
Jetpack’s CDN has also been integrated along with Cloudflare for improved loading speeds and site security.
