5 Australian Web Hosting Providers for Aussie Businesses

Find Australian Web Hosting That Delivers Local Support, Strong Performance and Genuine Value.

Choosing the right web hosting provider can make a noticeable difference to the speed, security and reliability of your website. It can also determine how quickly you receive help when something goes wrong.

As a web designer and developer, I regularly work with WordPress websites, WooCommerce stores and business hosting environments. While many web design agencies provide their own wholesale or managed hosting solutions, some businesses prefer to hold their hosting account directly with an established provider.

You can also deploy a server through Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or another cloud platform. These services provide enormous flexibility, but they are generally better suited to developers, IT teams and businesses with the technical resources to configure and manage their own infrastructure.

This article is aimed at general Australian businesses looking for accessible website hosting, WordPress hosting or eCommerce hosting with local infrastructure and support.

It is also worth understanding that an “Australian hosting provider” is not necessarily Australian-owned. Several familiar hosting brands operate Australian servers and support teams but are ultimately owned by international companies. For this list, I have focused on five providers that identify as Australian owned and operated.

Pricing and hosting inclusions mentioned below were checked in June 2026. Promotional prices, renewal rates and plan features can change, so always review the current terms before signing up.

What I Look for in an Australian Web Hosting Provider

Price is important, but it should not be the only consideration. When I assess hosting for a business website, I look at:

  • Australian server locations
  • Server resources such as CPU, memory and storage
  • LiteSpeed, NGINX or another performance-focused web server
  • NVMe or enterprise-grade SSD storage
  • Automated backups and how long they are retained
  • Website security and DDoS protection
  • Access to Australian-based technical support
  • WordPress and WooCommerce compatibility
  • Staging, migration and website management tools
  • Transparent renewal pricing
  • The ability to upgrade as the website grows

A cheap hosting plan can quickly become expensive if the website is consistently slow, support is difficult to reach or essential features must be purchased separately.

Recommended Australian Web Hosting You Can Rely On

1. VentraIP

VentraIP - Top Australian Web Host Providers

VentraIP is my leading all-round recommendation for many Australian small and medium businesses. The company was founded in 2008 and has grown to become Australia’s largest privately owned web hosting and domain name provider. Its parent company also operates Synergy Wholesale, which is widely used by Australian web designers, developers and digital agencies.

VentraIP offers general business hosting, WordPress hosting, custom cPanel plans, email hosting and managed or self-managed virtual private servers. Its shared hosting platform uses LiteSpeed Web Server, CloudLinux and cPanel, making it suitable for WordPress, WooCommerce and many other common website platforms. LiteSpeed can provide excellent performance when combined with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and a properly optimised website.

Its Australian hosting environment includes free SSL certificates, Corero DDoS mitigation, Fortinet firewall technology and Acronis cloud backups. VentraIP currently advertises hourly backups that customers can access and restore through their hosting account. Technical support is provided 24 hours a day by an Australian-based team.

VentraIP’s regular entry-level business hosting price is around $11 per month, although introductory promotions can reduce the initial cost considerably. Its dedicated WordPress plans generally cost more but include WordPress management tools and additional resources. Always compare the discounted introductory rate with the ongoing renewal price.

One useful perk is the VIPrewards loyalty program. VentraIP customers can progress through reward tiers and receive benefits such as renewal offers, giveaways and discounts from participating partners. VentraIP also runs periodic promotions for existing customers, which is a welcome change from providers that reserve every discount for new sign-ups.

For agencies and developers, Synergy Wholesale provides a separate wholesale platform with discounted domains, hosting and white-label services. However, a standard VentraIP account is usually easier for an individual business to manage directly.

My recommendation: VentraIP is a strong general-purpose choice for business websites, WordPress websites and small-to-medium WooCommerce stores.

2. Conetix

Conetix - Top Australian Web Host Providers

Conetix is a 100% Australian-owned hosting provider that has operated since 1999. It is based in South East Queensland and provides Australian-hosted business hosting, managed WordPress hosting, virtual private servers and specialist solutions for agencies, government organisations and businesses with more demanding requirements.

Conetix takes a more managed and business-focused approach than many low-cost shared hosting providers. Its platform uses Plesk Obsidian, NVMe storage, Imunify360 security and WordPress Toolkit. Its managed server stack incorporates technologies including NGINX, PHP and MySQL, while staging environments allow changes to be tested before they are applied to a live website.

Automated backups are stored separately in the Conetix Secure Backup Vault. Managed WordPress plans include nightly backups and additional snapshots before updates are performed. This is a valuable feature because a backup taken immediately before a plugin, theme or WordPress core update provides a clear recovery point if something breaks.

Conetix’s managed WordPress service is genuinely hands-on. Its Australian team reviews and applies WordPress core, plugin and theme updates rather than relying exclusively on unattended automation. The service also includes monitoring, security management, free SSL certificates, email hosting and website migration.

General business hosting starts from approximately $20 per month. Human-managed WordPress hosting starts from $69.95 per month, while the enhanced managed plan starts from $99.95 per month. Managed VPS plans begin at $199 per month.

That pricing places Conetix above entry-level shared hosting, but it is targeting a different type of customer. The additional cost can be worthwhile for a business that wants local engineers to take a more active role in maintaining its hosting environment.

My recommendation: Conetix is an excellent choice for business-critical WordPress websites, professional organisations and businesses that value hands-on local support and a reputable Australian web hosting provider.

3. Network Dynamics

Network Dynamics - Top Australian Web Host Providers

Network Dynamics is a 100% Australian-owned and operated web hosting provider founded in 2008. The company was previously best known through its specialist WP Hosting brand, which was formally merged into Network Dynamics in early 2026. This was an internal rebrand rather than an acquisition, with the same management, staff and hosting services continuing under the Network Dynamics name.

The provider offers general website hosting, managed WordPress hosting, WooCommerce and eCommerce hosting, enterprise hosting and dedicated server solutions. Its Australian-based infrastructure uses enterprise Intel Xeon processors, DDR5 memory and high-speed NVMe SSD storage. WordPress hosting is optimised using NGINX, HTTP/3, server-side caching, GZIP and Brotli compression, with support for modern PHP versions and Cloudflare integration.

Security features include a web application firewall, real-time malware scanning and multilayer DDoS protection across network and application layers. Network Dynamics also monitors its infrastructure around the clock, with engineers available to investigate unusual activity and performance issues. Support is available through live chat and tickets, while most plans also include phone access to a technical team rather than a general call centre.

All WordPress plans include nightly file and database backups with free one-click restoration. Backup retention depends on the selected plan, ranging from one restore point on the entry-level plan to 60 days on Business+. Customers also receive free SSL certificates, free inbound website migration, DNS management and optional automated updates for WordPress core, plugins and themes.

WordPress hosting starts from $9 per month, although that entry-level plan is primarily intended for landing pages and small one-page websites. The Business plan, which Network Dynamics recommends for most business websites, is $29 per month and includes 10GB of NVMe storage, two websites, 30 days of backups and phone support. WooCommerce hosting starts from $39 per month, with higher plans providing additional storage, backup retention and resources for growing online stores. Annual billing includes two months free during the first year, while new customers can trial eligible WordPress plans for $1 for the first month.

Network Dynamics is not positioned as the cheapest provider on this list. Its strength is its specialist knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce, backed by enterprise-grade infrastructure, local ownership and access to experienced technical support.

My recommendation: Network Dynamics is a strong choice for Australian businesses that want specialised WordPress or WooCommerce hosting with local ownership, reliable backups and knowledgeable technical support.

4. Micron21

Micron21 - Top Australian Web Host Providers

Micron21 is a Melbourne-based Australian cloud, data centre and web hosting provider. Its origins can be traced to infrastructure developed within a family printing business, with Managing Director James Braunegg identifying an opportunity to develop a dedicated data centre operation in 2009.

What makes Micron21 stand out is that it owns and operates Australia’s first Tier IV-certified data centre. This type of fault-tolerant infrastructure is designed to continue operating through equipment failures and maintenance events. That makes Micron21 particularly appealing to organisations for which uptime, data sovereignty and infrastructure resilience are major priorities.

Its shared web hosting uses LiteSpeed Web Server, CloudLinux, Imunify360 security and cPanel. Customers can choose SSD storage or higher-performance NVMe storage through its Speed Boost options. The hosting environment also includes DDoS protection, free SSL certificates and Australian-based support.

Micron21 uses Acronis for offsite backups. Its shared hosting plans include backups every six hours, with encrypted copies stored in a geographically separate location. This is one of the stronger standard backup arrangements among the providers covered in this article.

Shared hosting starts from $14.50 per month excluding GST. The shared eCommerce plan starts from $57.25 per month excluding GST and provides additional CPU, memory and storage. Micron21 also offers reseller hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated servers, cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery and managed IT services.

Micron21 may provide more infrastructure than a small brochure website genuinely needs. However, its entry-level hosting remains accessible, while its broader platform provides a clear upgrade path for businesses with advanced availability or compliance requirements.

My recommendation: Micron21 is a strong option for high-availability websites, eCommerce businesses and organisations that place particular importance on Australian data sovereignty and resilient infrastructure.

5. DreamIT Host

DreamIT - Top Australian Web Host Providers

DreamIT Host is a 100% Australian-owned provider with a Melbourne-based support team. It is a younger company than several of the providers above, but it has built a competitive offering around affordable hosting, modern server technology and local customer support.

Its shared hosting plans use LiteSpeed Web Server, CloudLinux and RAID NVMe storage. Customers can choose between DirectAdmin and cPanel on eligible services, while WordPress users receive access to WP-CLI, cloning and staging tools. Australian server locations include Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, with Auckland also available for New Zealand-focused websites.

DreamIT includes free SSL certificates, free website migration and self-service backups. Backups are taken on hourly, daily, weekly and monthly schedules, giving customers several recovery points if files are deleted or a website update causes problems. Its support team is based in Melbourne, with 24-hour ticket support advertised across its hosting services.

Regular shared hosting prices begin at approximately $6.95 per month, although introductory promotions can reduce the first invoice. The regular Business plan is approximately $26.95 per month. Higher-performance Premier hosting starts from around $49.95 per month before promotional discounts.

DreamIT also offers reseller hosting, managed and unmanaged virtual private servers, Acronis backup services and domain wholesale accounts. Its Domain Wholesale program can provide discounts of up to 35% across eligible products, which may appeal to agencies or businesses managing a larger portfolio of domain names.

My recommendation: DreamIT Host is worth considering if you want affordable LiteSpeed hosting, Australian servers and a Melbourne-based support team.
