Founded by the team at Ballina Motorcycles, BMW Parts Online has become the go-to supplier for all performance parts for BMW Motorrad motorcycles in Australia. Stocking everything from gloves and riding jackets to motorcycle storage solutions and performance upgrades, BMW enthusiasts can now place orders online and have products shipped anywhere in Australia.
The Challenge
Project Overview
BMW Parts Online is an Australian based supplier of OEM parts and accessories for BMW Motorcycles. Since its launch, BMW Parts Online has grown from strength to strength and are widely recognised as Australia’s leading supplier of BMW Motorrad parts and accessories online.
I was engaged to help create a new eCommerce website for BMW Parts Online with a goal of boosting online sales performance. Collectively we agreed WordPress was the best CMS for their situation, primarily because the organisation wanted the ability to easily add and update and manipulate page content and layouts moving forward.
With a focus on ease of navigation, the new website was required to include live price filtering, a comprehensive parts finder and modern design elements. The objective was to create a professional, intuitive eCommerce website which could be used for customers of all demographics.

Design & Functionality
My approach to the website design was all about balance. Given the style guidelines of BMW, I needed to find the right balance between engaging, professionalism, respect and vibrancy. I drew a vast amount of visual inspiration from the logo and images supplied by BMW. Combine this with a contemporary layout and mobile-responsive framework and we have ourselves an eye catching website.
WordPress and WooCommerce provided a great platform to build a scalable online store with a focus on both the user experience and management side of things.
I implemented a vehicle parts finder to allow users to find the right part for their bike model. I also implemented a range of features to supercharge the online store including table rate shipping control, shipping options, Afterpay and Zip integrations, rich schema markup and search engine optimisation.
